After one and a half year of deep going analyses and implementing first pilot activities the midterm-conference (16-18 October 2012 in Košice, Slovakia) gave the opportunity for an interim conclusion. The project partners presented their first outputs and results, external experts and stakeholders in the field of transport and tourism as well as related disciplines brought up their views related to the project and the concerned questions.

The three day conference was divided in five sections, whereas the first part dealt with different political views, the second and third part presented best-practice examples in the field of railway operations as well as multimodal transport. A fourth section offered the involved model regions the floor, and as a fifth section a common study visit of the popular Tatra-railway was on the agenda.
