GSEISPUR mobility platform – the regional ACCESS2MOUNTAIN "baby" starts end of May 2013

Fully adequate mobility without private car? Despite massive reductions in the regional public transport offers at the project start of ACCESS2MOUNTAIN, the National Park Gesäuse took up this big challenge and developed a plan for a regional mobility platform driven by regional stakeholders. Now the GSEISPUR, which is an ambiguous, colloquial mixture out of "Gesäuse-Pure" or "Gesäuse-Track", is ready for implementation and will start with the following core products:

  • Shuttle service from/to railway station Selzthal (GSEISHUTTLESPUR)
  • Door-to-door taxi service in the region (GSEISTAXISPUR)
  • E-Scooter rental (GSEISMOPEDSPUR)
These products will be completed step by step with several regional initiatives fulfilling the principles of soft-mobility. In order to communicate all of the products and related tourism packages a website and an extensive smartphone application is in development. Both products will help to market soft-mobility - from hiking to taking a ride with the developed taxi-service - as exciting and integrative tourism product.
